Windows Version

New Computers

If you bought your computer after 1995, you are probably running a recent version of Windows (such as Windows 95, 98, NT, or 2000). To determine your exact version of Windows:

  1. Right-click the Start button, and select (left-click) the Explore item from the pop-up menu.
  2. When the Exploring - Start Menu window appears, select Help from the menu bar at the top of the window.
  3. Select the bottom entry on the Help Menu. It will say: About Windows 95, About Windows 98, or About Windows NT, depending on which operating system you are running.

Old Computers

If your computer is old (pre-1995), you may be running an old version of Windows which does not have a Start button (such as Windows 3.1 or Windows for Workgroups). To determine your exact version of Windows:
  1. Select Program Manager. (If you don't know how to do this, press Alt-Tab until Program Manager becomes current.)
  2. Select Help | About Program Manager... A dialog box will open that shows your version of Windows.

Close this window to return to the Problem Report Form.
