Introduction
This page lists tips on finding information on
MFM's Support Web site. MFM's Support Web site
contains a large and growing amount of information. We've provided several
different ways to let you find the information you need. However, searching
for information on your own will always require some effort on your part. Searching
is a skill; the more you practice, the better you will become.
- If you are an MFM customer with an emergency need for information, you may
not have time to become an expert at searching. If so, ask
for help if you are unable to find what you need quickly. Please make
a reasonable effort to find what you need before asking; this helps us keep
the cost of our products reasonable for everyone.
- If you provide technical support to other MFM customers as a support representative
or consultant, developing your search skills is absolutely vital. Take the
time to master the search methods below. This will
increase your professionalism and problem-solving efficiency. Other vendors
have Web sites with similar search methods, so much of what you learn about
searching on MFM's Support Web site will help with the other products you support.

Navigating the Complete Table of Contents
The Complete Table of Contents for the MFM Support Web site is available in two forms:
- Javascript menu:
you can click the
Complete Table of Contents (JavaScript Version) hyperlink in the page
footer. (This menu may require some time to download if you have a slow Internet connection.)
If your browser supports Javascript, you should be able to navigate the menu
by moving your mouse over it. If you move your mouse over a menu item that
contains a submenu, the submenu will open automatically. You can use the menu
to scan a large amount of information quickly in a small space.
- HTML menu: if you cannot use the Javascript menu,
or you would like to search the contents in your
browser, you can view the Complete Table of Contents.
To view the Complete Table of Contents, click on its hyperlink in the page
footer. The Complete Table of Contents lists every page on MFM's
Support Web site and is quite long. If you are looking for a specific
piece of information, start at the Quick Contents
section. The Quick Contents section lists the
main sections and their corresponding sub-sections. For example, If you are
looking for the PC Access Update Wizard, and you are
not sure if it is under Download, or
Files, the Quick Contents
section tells you it is under Download.
