Change Your Profile

The PROF program enables you to define your own "user profile", including password, terminal and printer type, default system access and lists of commonly used search and update areas.

To begin User Profile from the Main Menu, enter PROF or 24. If you are not at the Main Menu, type PROF at any system prompt. The User Profile Menu will display:

         (1) Change Password .........................(PW) 
         (2) Change To Brief or Full Mode ............(CM) 
         (3) Change Access Device For This Session ...(CD) 
         (4) Change Default Access Device ............(DD) 
         (5) Area Profile List for Updates ...........(AU) 
         (6) Area Profile List for Search ............(AS) 
         (7) Change Default System Access ............(DS) 
         (8) Download Function Keys and Answerback....(DL) 
         (9) Change Printer Type for this Session.....(PS) 
        (10) Change Default Printer Type..............(PT) 
 
                 Select the number or abbreviation. 
                 Enter PROFILE OPTION: 
Each function is described below:

· Change Password (PW) changes your personal password. When you login to BORIS, BORIS asks for your login name and password to authorize your access. Your password can be changed at any time.

· Change to Brief or Full Mode (CM) switches between Full mode (display all menus) and Brief mode (bypass all menus).

· Change Access Device For This Session (CD) chooses a different access device for use during the current login.

· Change Default Access Device (DD) selects or changes your default terminal type.

· Area Profile List for Updates (AU) stores up to 40 areas/subareas to use in Updates.

· Area Profile List for Search (AS) stores up to 6 areas/subareas to use in Search, Prospect Search and CMA.

· Change Default System Access (DS) selects or changes your default system access to Residential or Commercial.

· Download Function Keys and Answerback (DL) downloads the recommended function key settings to PC Access for Windows™. Function keys cannot be saved in PC Access.

· Change Printer Type for this Session (PS) chooses a different printer type to use for the current login. This selection is temporary and is not saved when you log out.

· Change Default Printer Type (PT) selects or changes your default printer type.
