The following instructions will guide you through downloading, installing, and setting up Fax Everywhere Fax Client.

• Note: before you can use Fax Everywhere Fax Client, you need to have a Fax Everywhere account. If you do not have a Fax Everywhere Fax Client account, send an e-mail message to: fax-support@mfm.com.

Downloading Fax Client

1. Log in to the Fax Everywhere Web Interface: http://ifax.mfm.com/
   • Note: you will need your User Name and Passcode to log in.
2. From the Fax Everywhere Main Menu window, click Downloads.
3. Click the Get It! button to download Fax Everywhere Fax Client.
4. After you click the Get It! button, follow the instructions on your screen to download Fax Everywhere Fax Client.
5. After you download the Fax Everywhere Fax Client, see: Installing Fax Everywhere Fax Client.

Installing Fax Everywhere Fax Client

• Note: the name of the file you downloaded is similar to: FaxEverywhereClientSetup-x.x.x.x.exe. The actual name of the file you downloaded will be different.

1. After you download the FaxEverywhereClientSetup-x.x.x.x.exe file to a directory on your hard disk, click Start | Programs | Windows Explorer.
2. Go to the folder where you saved the FaxEverywhereClientSetup-x.x.x.x.exe file. Double-click on the file.
3. On the InstallShield Wizard window, click Next.
4. On the next InstallShield Wizard window, type your name in the Name field and the name of your company in the Company field. When you finish, click Next.
5. On the Destination Directory window, we recommend you use the default location. If you need to install Fax Everywhere Fax Client to a directory other than C:\Program Files\Fax Everywhere, click the Browse button to select another directory. When you finish, click Next.
6. On the Program Folders window, we recommend you use the default folder. If you need to change the folder name to something other than Fax Everywhere, type the folder name in the Program Folders field. When you finish, click Next.
7. On the Current Settings window, click Next to begin installing Fax Everywhere Fax Client.
8. When InstallShield finishes copying the Fax Everywhere Fax Client program files to your computer, click Finish.

Setting up Fax Everywhere Fax Client

1. After you install Fax Everywhere Fax Client, it places an icon in the System Tray on your Taskbar. To set up Fax Everywhere Fax Client, double-click on the Fax Everywhere Fax Client icon in the System Tray.
   • Note: the Fax Everywhere Fax Client icon is an image of a fax machine with a reddish "e" character in the icon.
   If the Fax Everywhere Fax Client icon is not in the System Tray on your Taskbar, click Start | Programs | Fax Everywhere | Fax Everywhere.
2. You need to complete most of the fields on the Setup tab, before you use Fax Everywhere Fax Client. The list below will help you complete the required fields:
   • My Name: type your name in this field. For example, John Doe.

   • My E-mail Address: type your e-mail address in this field. For example: myname@domain.com.

   • My E-mail Password: type the password you use to access the e-mail address you entered in the My E-mail Address field.

   • My POP3 Mail Server: type your POP3 mail server in this field. For example: pop3.mailserver.com. If you do not know your POP3 mail server address, contact your ISP.

   • My Mail User Name: after you type in your e-mail address, Fax Everywhere will automatically fill in this field with your mail user name. For example, if your e-mail address is myname@domian.com, your mail user name is myname.

   • My Contact Phone #: enter your telephone number in this field.

   • My Fax Everywhere User Passcode: the passcode you enter in this field is the same passcode you enter in the Passcode field on the Fax Everywhere Web Interface Login window. Fax Everywhere included your passcode in a "Welcome to Fax Everywhere" e-mail message it sent to you. If you no longer have the e-mail message, and you do not know your passcode, contact MFM at fax-support@mfm.com.

   • Fax Everywhere SMTP Mail Server: you can enter mail.mfm.com in this field.

   • Fax Everywhere Server Master Key: Fax Everywhere included the master key code in a "Welcome to Fax Everywhere" e-mail message it sent to you. If you no longer have the e-mail message, and you do not know the master key code, contact MFM at fax-support@mfm.com.

   • Fax Everywhere Server E-mail Address: you can enter faxrouter@mfm.com in this field.

   • Personal Fax Everywhere User Key: Fax Everywhere included your user key code in a "Welcome to Fax Everywhere" e-mail message it sent to you. If you no longer have the e-mail message, and you do not know your user code, contact MFM at fax-support@mfm.com.

3. The remaining fields and check boxes on the Setup are optional. If you would like information about these fields, see: the Setup tab topic in the Fax Everywhere Reference Guide.
4. When you finish setting up Fax Everywhere Fax Client, you can use it to send faxes. For instructions, see: How to Send a Fax using Fax Everywhere Fax Client.
