Fax Modem Devices Tab: Devices

The Devices pane appears on the Server Setup | Fax Modem Devices tab in the Fax Everywhere Control Panel.

The Devices pane list the number of devices available on the server that you selected in the Connected to Server drop-down list. If you would like Fax Everywhere to use one of the devices on this pane, click the check box next to the device's name. You need to set up the following field and groups for each device you select on the Devices pane:

• Fax Modem Ext. #
  
  
• Fax Modem Class
  
  
• Fax Modem Capability
  
  
• Fax Receive BPS

The Devices pane may include Windows TAPI devices as well as standard system COM ports. You can use any combination of TAPI and COM devices. However, you should never use a TAPI device and a COM device that refer to the same physical communication port at the same time.

If you would like to make changes to an existing device, click on the device. The above groups and the field will display the settings for the device you selected.

When you finish setting up a device or making changes to a device, click Save.

Fax Everywhere will only use those devices with a check in their corresponding check box.

Note: if the amount of time in the All Devices Busy field on the Server Status tab seems high, you may want to make additional devices available to Fax Everywhere.
