BCC

An abbreviation for Blind Carbon Copy. Blind Carbon Copy is a copy of an e-mail message sent to a recipient without the recipient's address appearing in the e-mail message.

Most e-mail programs include two fields; CC and BCC. When you enter an e-mail address in the CC field you copy the message to that e-mail address. Any e-mail addresses you enter into the CC field appear at the top of the e-mail message.

When you an enter e-mail address in the BCC field you Blind Carbon Copy the message to that e-mail address. Any e-mail addresses you enter into the BCC field do not appear in the e-mail message. Blind Carbon Copy is useful if you want to copy a message to many people without each of them seeing who the other recipients are.
