Persistent

The Fax Everywhere Reference Guide describes a piece of information as persistent if the information continues to exist until you deliberately change it. That is, persistent information does not disappear as a side effect of some other operation, such as closing a window. Persistent is the opposite of temporary: temporary information only exists until you finish your current task.
