Fax Everywhere Reference Guide

for Version 1.00

SMTP

An abbreviation for Simple Mail Transfer Protocol. Most e-mail programs that send e-mail over the Internet use SMTP to send messages from one server to another.

Before you can e-mail from Fax Everywhere, you must enter the name of your SMTP server in the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) field on the E-Mail Setup window. Your ISP must provide you with an SMTP server address. Many large ISPs do not provide you with an SMTP server address.
