Fax Everywhere Reference Guide

for Version 1.00

Rate Setup Tab: Out. Rate Factor

The Out. Rate Factor column appears on the Rates table on the Tables Setup | Rate Setup tab in the Fax Everywhere Control Panel.

You can use the Out. Rate Factor field to add any additional charges to the actual cost of a call. You may want to add additional charges to a call to cover any administrative expenses, etc.

Fax Everywhere multiplies the number in the Per Minute Base Rate column on the Toll Control tab by the number in the Out. Rate Factor field. Fax Everywhere uses the result to determine the per minute cost of the fax.

Here is how it works:

  • you entered 1.200 in the Out. Rate Factor field and 0.080 in the Per Minute Base Rate field.

  • a user sends a fax. To determine the per minute cost of the fax, Fax Everywhere multiplies 0.080 by 1.200 and calculates a charge of: 0.096 or 9.6 cents. Fax Everywhere will round this number up to .10 cents. If it takes Fax Everywhere three minutes to send a fax, the cost is .30 cents.

The value in this field is a mark up multiplier value versus a static amount of dollar and cents. The Toll Control tab allows you to enter different pricing for different types of calls.

Fax Everywhere rounds the minutes up to the next full minute. In addition, Fax Everywhere rounds all fractional costs up to the next whole cent.

You can click the column heading to toggle the sort order between ascending or descending.
