Setup Tab: Cover Page Image

The Cover Page Image field appears in the Preferences group on the Setup tab in the Fax Everywhere Fax Client.

If you are sending a fax to a fax number and you checked the Send Cover Page check box on the Addressing tab, Fax Everywhere will send a cover page with your fax.

By default, Fax Everywhere includes the cover page from the Cover Page Image field on the User Setup window in the Fax Everywhere Web Interface. You can use the Cover Page Image field on this window to select another cover page to send with your fax.

When you install Fax Everywhere Fax Client, it installs a stock cover page. You can follow the instructions below to select the stock cover page.

1. Click the Click to Change... text in the Cover Page Image field.
   
   
2. From the Select Cover Page window, click the Load Cover Page button.
   
   
3. From the Load Custom Cover Page Image window, select the stock cover page file: COVERPG.BMP. Click Open.

To view the stock cover page, click the Click to Change... text. You can use the scroll bars to scroll through the Select Cover Page window and view the stock cover page.

You can also create a custom cover page to include with your faxes. The following rules apply to any custom cover page you create:

1. The cover page must be a 1 bit per pixel monochrome bitmap file.
   
   
2. The cover page must have the same bitmap dimensions (height and width) as the stock cover page. If you installed Fax Everywhere Fax Client to the default directory, the stock cover page is in: C:\PROGRAM FILES\FAX EVERYWHERE\COVERPG.BMP.
   
   
3. If you include any static graphics and/or text, you should position them in the top two inches and/or bottom two inches of your custom cover page. This is because Fax Everywhere will insert the cover page text it automatically generates in to the middle of any cover page. If you include text in the middle of the cover page, Fax Everywhere will overwrite your text.

If you plan to create your own cover page, we recommend that you copy the stock cover page (COVERPG.BMP) to a new file and edit the new file. This will ensure that your new cover page has the correct dimensions.

If you select the stock cover page or create your own custom cover page, you can check the Cover Page Image | Update on Server check box, and Fax Everywhere will update the Cover Page Image field on the User Setup window in the Fax Everywhere Web Interface. This means that the faxes you send from Fax Everywhere Fax Client and from the Send Fax window in the Fax Everywhere Web Interface will use the cover page you selected in the Cover Page Image field.
