Fax Everywhere Reference Guide

User Setup Tab: Message Format
The Message Format column appears on the Users table on the Tables Setup | User Setup tab in the Fax Everywhere Control Panel.
If you click the down arrow button in the Message Format field, Fax Everywhere displays a drop-down window with the following items:
Note: if you uncheck the Archive check box, you can only select PDF + Page 1 GIF from the Message Format drop-down list.
- PDF Only: Fax Everywhere includes a
.PDF file as an attachment in the e-mail message it sends you. You can click on the hyperlink to the .PDF file to open Adobe Acrobat Reader and view the .PDF file. If you entered a password in the PDF Password field, Fax Everywhere will password protect the.PDF file(s) it e-mails to you.
- PDF + Page 1 GIF: Fax Everywhere includes a
.PDF file as an attachment in the e-mail message it sends you. In addition, it displays the first page of the fax as a .GIF image. If your e-mail program supports .GIF files, you can view the .GIF file in the Message Body. If your e-mail program does not support .GIF files, you can click on the hyperlink to view the .GIF file. You can also click on the hyperlink to the .PDF file to open Adobe Acrobat Reader and view the .PDF file. If you entered a password in the PDF Password field, Fax Everywhere will password protect the.PDF file(s) it e-mails to you. When you add a new user, Fax Everywhere selects PDF + Page 1 GIF.

.GIF images. Each page of your fax is one .GIF file. If your e-mail program supports .GIF files, you can view the .GIF file in the Message Body. If your e-mail program does not support .GIF files, you can click on the hyperlink to view the .GIF file. If you select GIF Only, your e-mail message may be large. This means it may take some time for your ISP to download your e-mail messages. Fax Everywhere does not password protect .GIF files.
- URL + Page 1 GIF: Fax Everywhere includes a URL to your fax in the e-mail message it sends you. If you click the URL, Fax Everywhere opens the Fax Everywhere Web Interface in a new browser window. Type your passcode in the Passcode field to view your fax. In addition, Fax Everywhere displays the first page of the fax as a
.GIF image. If your e-mail program supports .GIF files, you can view the .GIF file in the Message Body. If your e-mail program does not support .GIF files, you can click on the hyperlink to view the .GIF file. If you do not complete the Web Server URL field on the Server Settings tab, Fax Everywhere will not include a URL in the e-mail message it sends you.

If you checked the Archive check box, you can view all of the messages, regardless of their format, in the Fax Everywhere Web Interface.
You can click the column heading to toggle the sort order between ascending or descending.
