User Setup Tab: Status

The Status column appears on the Users table on the Tables Setup | User Setup tab in the Fax Everywhere Control Panel.

If you click the down arrow button in the Status field, Fax Everywhere displays a drop-down window with the following items:

• New: if you click the Add or Copy buttons to create a new user, Fax Everywhere automatically marks inserts New in the Status column. The New status prompts Fax Everywhere to e-mail the user a "Welcome to Fax Everywhere" message. This message contains the following information:

  ¨ how to use Fax Everywhere

  ¨ a hyperlink to download Adobe Acrobat Reader

  ¨ the user's personal fax number

  ¨ the user's passcode

After Fax Everywhere e-mails the user the "Welcome to Fax Everywhere" message, it changes the user's status from New to Active. Fax Everywhere stores the text it uses in the "Welcome to Fax Everywhere" message in the SUBSCRIBE.MSG file.

• Active: when Active appears in the Status column, the user can receive faxes via Fax Everywhere.
  
  
• Retired: Fax Everywhere does not e-mail any faxes to users with Retired in the Status column. If a user receives a fax and their status is Retired, Fax Everywhere sends the fax to the DEADFAX subdirectory. The files in the DEADFAX subdirectory will have file names similar to: FAX-2001-1029-1540.FAX. You need iFaxViewer to view the .FAX files in the DEADFAX subdirectory.

When Fax Everywhere sends a .FAX file to the DEADFAX subdirectory, the Server Status tab displays this message:

¨ XI-4034 Unroutable fax file renamed to (filename)

Fax Everywhere will replace (filename) with the actual path and filename of the .FAX file.

You can click the column heading to toggle the sort order between ascending or descending.
