Fax Everywhere Fax Client Reference Guide

for Version 1.61

Setup Tab: Address Book Source

The Address Book Source drop-down list appears in the Preferences group on the Setup tab in the Fax Everywhere Fax Client.

The Address Book Source drop-down list contains the following:

  • None

  • Microsoft Outlook

  • Windows Address Book

  • GoldMine

If you use the address book in one of the above programs, you can set up Fax Everywhere Fax Client to have access to the names, e-mail addresses, and/or fax numbers in the address book you select.

If you select one of the above address books, Fax Everywhere Fax Client displays the entries in the Name drop-down list in the Send Fax To group on the Addressing tab. If you select None from this drop-down list the Name pop-up window is empty. This means you have to manually enter the name, e-mail address or fax number of the person you are sending a fax to.

Fax Everywhere uses the Windows registry to determine the location of the Microsoft Outlook and Windows Address Book files. If you select Goldmine from the Address Book Source drop-down list, you need to use the Path to Address Book File drop-down list to select the path to your Goldmine address book file.

Note: as of Tuesday, April 23, 2002, Fax Everywhere does not support the Windows Address Book or the Outlook Express format. You can contact MFM for more information. See: how to get more help for instructions on how to contact MFM.
