Fax Modem Devices Tab: Fax Receive BPS

The Fax Receive BPS group appears on the Server Setup | Fax Modem Devices tab in the Fax Everywhere Control Panel.

The following radio buttons appear in the Fax Receive BPS group:

• 9600 [low speed]: if you select this radio button, Fax Everywhere will receive any incoming faxes at 9600 bps.
  
  
• 14400 [high speed]:if you select this radio button, Fax Everywhere will receive any incoming faxes at 14,400 bps.

Since the radio button you select tries to negotiate the best speed, we recommend you leave this setting at 14400 [high speed], unless there is poor telephone service in your area.

You need to select one of the radio buttons in the Fax Receive BPS group for each fax modem you select on the Devices pane.

By default, Fax Everywhere selects the 14400 [high speed] radio button.
