Fax Everywhere Control Panel and Service Panel Reference Guidefor Version 1.00SMTPAn abbreviation for Simple Mail Transfer Protocol. Most e-mail programs that send e-mail over the Internet use SMTP to send messages from one server to another. Before you can e-mail from Fax Everywhere Fax Client, you must enter the name of your SMTP server in the Fax Everywhere SMTP Mail Server field on the Setup tab in Fax Everywhere Fax Client. If you are the Fax Everywhere Administrator, you should enter the name of your SMTP server in the (SMTP) Outgoing Mail Server field on the Server Setup | Server Settings tab in the Fax Everywhere Control Panel. Your ISP must provide you with an SMTP server address. Many large ISPs do not provide you with an SMTP server address. http://webopedia.internet.com/TERM/S/SMTP.html
