Fax Everywhere Control Panel and Service Panel Reference Guide

for Version 1.00

Group Setup Tab: Starting Tag #

The Starting Tag # column appears on the Groups table on the Tables Setup | Group Setup tab in the Fax Everywhere Control Panel.

When you add a new group to the Groups table, Fax Everywhere automatically generates a number in the Starting Tag # field.

Fax Everywhere uses the number in this field to assign a unique tag number to each fax the user's in a group receive. For example, if a group's starting tag number is: 0000, Fax Everywhere will assign a tag number of 0001 to the first fax a user in a group receives. Fax Everywhere will continue to assign tag numbers in numerical order. For example, the second fax sent to a user in a group will have a tag number of 0002, the third fax 0003 and so on.

When Fax Everywhere assigns a tag number to a fax, it includes this line in the e-mail message it sends to a user: Document Tag #: 0001.

You can edit the number in the Starting Tag # field. In addition, Fax Everywhere does not require you to enter a value in this field. If you do not enter a value in this field, you or other Fax Everywhere users can enter a tag number in one of three ways:

Note: you can use the tag number to retrieve faxes via the telephone and forward them to another fax number. For more information, see Tag.

You can click the column heading to toggle the sort order between ascending or descending.
