Server Settings Tab: SMDR From Com Port

The SMDR From Com Port drop-down list appears on the Server Setup | Server Settings tab in the Fax Everywhere Control Panel.

Fax Everywhere uses SMDR data to determine where to route incoming faxes. The PBX system you selected in the PBX Type drop-down list creates SMDR data. In addition, your PBX system determines if you capture SMDR data to a file or to a COM port.

You can use the SMDR From Com Port drop-down list to select the COM port your PBX system uses to capture SMDR data. If your PBX system currently captures SMDR data to a file, you can use the SMDR From File field to select the name of the file containing the SMDR data.

Note: Fax Everywhere requires SMDR data to run.
