Fax Everywhere Control Panel and Service Panel Reference Guide

for Version 1.00

Server Status Tab: Mail Server Status

The Mail Server Status field appears on the Server Status tab in the Fax Everywhere Control Panel.

You can use this field to determine if Fax Everywhere is accessing one of the mail servers you entered in the POP3 (Incoming) Mail Server or SMTP (Outgoing) Mail Server fields.

When Fax Everywhere is not checking for new e-mail messages or sending e-mail messages, it displays Idle in this field. When Fax Everywhere is checking for faxes to e-mail, it displays: Checking for Incoming E-mail.

In addition to using the Mail Server Status field, you can also see the Message pane for detailed information on the status of Fax Everywhere.

If you Stop and Start Fax Everywhere, it resets the value in this field.

Note: you can use the Check Every Seconds field on the Server Settings tab to tell Fax Everywhere how often you would like it to check for e-mail messages.
