Fax Everywhere Control Panel and Service Panel Reference Guide

for Version 1.00

Server Status Tab: Port Status Monitor

The Port Status Monitor field appears on the Server Status tab in the Fax Everywhere Control Panel.

Fax Everywhere displays a box for each fax modem you selected from the Devices pane on the Fax Modem Devices tab.

The box(es) will change color depending upon the activity that occurs on the fax modem associated with each box. For example, if a fax modem is receiving a fax, Fax Everywhere will display alternating colors of green and red in the box associated with the fax modem. You can move your mouse over one of the boxes and Fax Everywhere will display a pop-up window with the name of the fax modem your selected from the Devices tab.

Each color or combination of colors have the following meaning:

  • Gray: the fax modem is idle and ready to send or receive a fax.

  • Green / Red: Fax Everywhere will display alternating green and red colors when it is receiving a fax.

  • Yellow / Purple: Fax Everywhere will display alternating yellow and purple colors when it is sending a fax.

  • Black: the fax modem is unable to send or receive a fax. This means the fax modem is unavailable.

Note: the rate at which Fax Everywhere alternates the colors depends on the state of the fax transmission.
