Fax Everywhere Control Panel and Service Panel Reference Guide

for Version 1.00

Server Status Tab: Service Errors

The Service Errors field appears on the Server Status tab in the Fax Everywhere Control Panel.

The Service Errors field contains the number of error messages Fax Everywhere encountered.

Normally, Fax Everywhere may encounter some errors every day. However, an error does not necessary mean a fatal condition. Sometimes, modems fail to initialize on the first try and this will generate an error. It is important that the Fax Everywhere Administrator review the log file, FAXELOG.TXT. Reviewing the log file will help the Fax Everywhere Administrator understand if there are ongoing problems that he or she may need to address.

You can scroll through the Message pane, or you can open the FAXELOG.TXT file in the Fax Everywhere executable directory to view the exact error message(s) Fax Everywhere encountered.

For a detailed description of the error messages Fax Everywhere may display, see: Fax Everywhere Messages.

Note: Fax Everywhere error messages begin with XE. For example, XE-4318 Fax Printing Failed.

The Today column lists the number of error messages within a 24 hour period. Fax Everywhere resets the number in the Today column every day at midnight.

The Total column list the number error messages Fax Everywhere encountered since you started Fax Everywhere.

If you Stop and Start Fax Everywhere, it resets the values in the Today and Total columns.
