Fax Everywhere Web Interface Reference Guide

for Version 1.00

Fax Archive Window: Tag

The Tag column appears on the Fax Archive window in the Fax Everywhere Web Interface.

If Fax Everywhere created a starting tag number for you, it used this number to create a unique tag number for each fax in the Fax Archive window. If the Tag field is blank, you can add a numeric tag (up to 10 digits) to any fax.

Note: Fax Everywhere stores the starting tag number in the Starting Tag # field on the Group Setup tab in the Fax Everywhere Control Panel.

You can use the number in the Tag field to access the fax via the telephone IVR system and forward the fax to any fax number.

If you assign the same tag number to several different faxes, you can retrieve and send those faxes collectively via the telephone IVR system. For example, if you have fax that contains a Real Estate Property Disclosure Report and another fax that contains a Home Inspection Report, you could assign both faxes the same tag number. When you access the tag number via the telephone IVR system, Fax Everywhere will send both faxes as a single fax to the fax number you specify.

You can add or edit a tag number in one of the following ways:

  • edit the Tag field on this window.

  • use the tag Reply to E-mail Command.

  • edit the Tag field on the Fax History tab in the Fax Everywhere Control Panel.

  • edit the Tag field to assign a tag number to the faxes you send via the Fax Everywhere Fax Client program.

If you make any changes to the text in the Tag field, you need to click the Save Changes button before your changes take effect.

Note: you cannot assign a tag number to faxes that appear in the Group Faxes group on the Fax Archive window. The faxes in the Group Faxes group are faxes that other Fax Everywhere users published. For information about published faxes, see: Publish.

You can click the column heading to toggle the sort order between ascending or descending.
