The Template Designer displays the Edit/Enter Text window when you click the Text ellipsis button of the Properties of Text window or the Properties of Text List window, or when you double-click a text or list box in the Template Designer window. The Edit/Enter Text window is a text editor where you may edit text and insert, remove, and change fields. You may also enter macros that perform special functions from this screen. Pipe symbols ( | ) enclose data field values and are dynamic: they will be replaced with each listing's field value in the final flyer format. Text not enclosed in pipe symbols is static: it does not change in the final flyer format. For example, in the above graphic, the first line will read: 5 years old, or 10 years old, or 15 years old, depending on the value of the PROP_APPROXAGE field for each listing. Add static information by entering the text manually. Add dynamic information (fields) by clicking the Insert Field button. To Insert a Field:
To insert a field into the Edit/Enter Text window, first place the cursor where you want to place the field and click the Insert Field button. The Template Designer displays the Data Items window, where you may choose fields from your Listings Info or your Agent Info. Select either the Listing Info radio button or the Agent Info radio button to view the available fields. The left column lists the field name; the right column lists the field value of the current listing, if available. Use the scroll bars to scroll through the fields. Highlight the appropriate field and click the Put Field button. The field is placed in the Edit/Enter Text window. Remember that you may manually type in static information before or after the field name, if you wish. To Remove a Field: To remove a field from the Edit/Enter Text window, first place the cursor anywhere within the field name (remember, field names are enclosed by the pipe symbol " | "). Click on the Remove Field button. · Note: You will not have a chance to confirm the deletion. If you accidentally remove a field, click the Cancel button to discard the changes. To Change a Field: To change a field into the Edit/Enter Text window, first place the cursor anywhere within the field name you wish to change (remember, field names are enclosed by the pipe symbol " | "). Click the Change Field button. The Template Designer displays the Data Items window, where you may choose a different field from your Listings Info or your Agent Info. Select either the Listing Info radio button or the Agent Info radio button to view the available fields. The left column lists the field name; the right column lists the field value of the current listing, if available. Use the scroll bars to scroll through the fields. Highlight the appropriate field and click the Put Field button. The field is placed in the Edit/Enter Text window.
