Installing Sample Listings File

Under normal circumstances, you download MLS listings by using the PC Access for Windows software. Click here Downloading MLS Data: Overview for a complete discussion on downloading MLS data.

If you are unable to download actual MLS data, the Flyer Program provides a sample listing file.

To copy the sample listings file into your Agent subdirectory:

1. Make sure you know the name of your Agent subdirectory. If you do not know the name of your Agent subdirectory:

   · Start PC Access for Windows.

   · Go to the Setup Menu | Advanced | Agents | Edit window.

   · The aforementioned window displays a Home Directory field.

   · Your Agent subdirectory is \PCAWIN\<HOME DIRECTORY>. For example, if your Home Directory name is "Smith," then your Agent subdirectory is \PCAWIN\SMITH.

2. Using Windows Explorer or File Manager, locate the files named SAMPLE.FLI and SAMPLE.FLY in \PCAWIN.
   
   
3. Copy the SAMPLE.FLI and SAMPLE.FLY files to your Agent subdirectory.

The first time you run the Flyer program after copying the sample files to your Agent subdirectory, the Flyer Program displays a message telling you it is decompressing the photo files. This is a normal step in importing data into the Flyer program.
