PC Access Flyer Reference Guidefor PC Access Flyer 1.02.022Printing Options group
The Printing Options group of the Options window contains the following areas: · Photo Brightness: Enter a positive or negative value between 0 and 1000 to adjust photo brightness (where –1000 is black and 1000 is white). The default value is 0. Whether you will need to adjust photo brightness is dependent upon the quality of your photos. Keep in mind that the value entered in this box affects all photos in the Flyer program. If one particular photo is causing a problem, it is better to replace the problem photo (or eliminate it) than to compromise the quality of all other photos. · Print Scaling (%): Enter a percent value from 0 to 100 to scale items for printing. For example, by entering a value of 50, flyers will print at half their normal size. Print scaling does not center the resized item on the page. · Halftone Angle: Enter a positive or negative value from 0 to 360 to control the halftoning process of photos on black-and-white printers. The default value is 0. Try different values to see how it affects the output. · Note: This option is only available when you also have the Fast Photo Printing option enabled. · Empty Field Text: Enter a value to replace a blank entry in MLS fields. The default value is <N/A>, which means that the Flyer program will place "N/A" in a field that otherwise has no value. An example of where you might want to change the default value of N/A is the Number of Partial Bathrooms field. If the field is empty when you download, it may be better to substitute the value of "0" instead of having the default value of "N/A" appear in your listing. · Match Printer Fonts to Screen Fonts Exactly: Select this check box to force the printer to use your screen fonts. (This box is selected by default.) Enabling this option will eliminate spacing and alignment problems that may occur if your printer substitutes resident fonts for screen fonts. · Fast Photo Printing: Select this check box to increase printing speed for photos. When using a color printer, enabling this option reduces photo quality, but significantly increases printing speed. When using a black-and-white printer, enabling this option allows the Flyer program (not your print driver) to convert color photos to black and white. In many cases, the Flyer program converts photos much faster than your print driver. If you want your print driver to perform the color conversion for your photos, deselect this check box. · Extra Photo Smoothing: Select this check box to improve the print quality of larger photos, because increasing a photo's size often introduces a "blockiness" that compromises output quality. Extra Photo Smoothing greatly increases processing time; therefore, you should enable this option only when printing flyers that contain larger photos. This option does NOT affect how the Flyer program displays photos on your screen, it only affects the print quality. · Note: When selecting Extra Photo Smoothing while using a black-and-white printer, you must also enable the Fast Photo Printing option. · Delete Listings After Printing: Select this check box to automatically delete listings after printing them with the Printing Wizard. By default, this option is not selected. You may want to set this as your system default if you know you will only be printing your listings once.
