PC Access Flyer Reference Guidefor PC Access Flyer 1.02.022Properties of Text Window
When you drag a text field from the Drag & Drop Data Items window to the Template Designer window, the Flyer program displays the Properties of Text window. The Template Designer also displays this window when you right-click a text object in the Template Designer window. You may set the following options in the Properties of Text window: · Left: This box displays the value in inches for the placement of the left border of the text box from the left border of the template. For example, in the above graphic the text box begins 4.281 inches from the left border of the template. You may change the placement of the text box by manually entering a new value in this box. You may find it is easier to return to the Template Designer window and click and drag the text box border to the desired location. · Width: This box displays the value in inches for overall width of the text box. For example, in the above graphic the text box is 2.031 inches wide. You may change the width of the text box by manually entering a new value in this box. You may find it is easier to return to the Template Designer window and click and drag the text box border to the desired size. · Top: This box displays the value in inches for the placement of the top border of the text box from the top border of the template. For example, in the above graphic the text box begins 7.729 inches from the top border of the template. You may change the placement of the text box by manually entering a new value in this box. You may find it is easier to return to the Template Designer window and click and drag the text box border to the desired location. · Height: This box displays the value in inches for overall height of the text box. For example, in the above graphic the text box is 0.469 inches high. You may change the height of the text box by manually entering a new value in this box. You may find it is easier to return to the Template Designer window and click and drag the text box border to the desired size.
· Font & Color: This box displays the font type and size. Click the ellipsis button (…) to display the Font window, where you may choose a new font, style, size, effect, and color. Click the OK button after making changes or the Cancel button to discard changes and return to the Template Designer window. · Background Fill: This box displays the background fill color. The default value is white. Click the down-arrow and scroll through the selections to choose a new background color. · Frame Style: Click the Select a Frame Style button to display the Border Properties window, where you may choose from the following border properties: ¨ Border Style: Use the scroll bar to view the available border styles. Highlight the desired border style by clicking it. The Sample View area displays the selected border style. ¨ Corner Style: Click either the Rounded or Square button to choose a corner style. Choose a radius (in inches) from the Corner Radius drop-down list. Use the check boxes to add a 3-D shadow and to automatically size the frame to accommodate text. The Sample View area displays the selected corner style. Click the OK button after making changes or the Cancel button to discard changes and return to the Template Designer window. · Text Alignment: Click the Left, Center, or Right radio button to choose the text alignment. · Text: Click the ellipsis button (…) to display the Edit/Enter Text window, where you may edit the text and insert, remove, and change fields. · Suppress Null Lines: Select this check box to prevent blank lines from appearing in the final printed flyer if a field is empty in a particular listing.
