PC Access Flyer Reference Guidefor PC Access Flyer 2.00.025Drag & Drop Data Items Window
The Drag & Drop Data Items window appears when you do one of the following things: · click the Link to Data button on the horizontal menu bar · click the Link to Data menu item from the Tools menu · click the Insert Field button on the Edit Template Plain Text window. · click the Insert Field button on the Edit Template Rich Text window. You can use the Drag & Drop Data Items window to insert fields into your template. You can insert fields into your template in one of three ways: · Click on an existing plain text box, rich text box, plain text list box or rich text list box. Then click Link to Data. From the Drag & Drop Data Items window, click on the field and drag it into your existing text box, or click on the field and click the Put Field button. · You can insert a field into your template without selecting an existing text box. To do this, click Link to Data. From the Drag & Drop Data Items window, click on the field and drag it into your template. PC Access Flyer will automatically create a rich text box. · You can click the Insert Field button from the Edit Template Rich Text window or the Edit Template Plain Text window. From the Drag & Drop Data Items window, click on the field and click the OK button. The Drag & Drop Data Items window displays the fields and listing information for the listing that appears in the Template Designer window. You can use the VCR-style buttons on the Drag & Drop Data Items window to navigate through your downloaded listings. As you navigate through your listings, PC Access Flyer updates the listing information in the Drag & Drop Data Items window and in the Template Designer window. You can also use the VCR-style buttons on the horizontal toolbar or the menu items in the Record menu to navigate through your downloaded listings. When you insert fields into a template, the fields are persistent and will appear each time you select the template in the Template Designer window or in the Flyer Wizard | Step 2 window. When you select the template, PC Access Flyer will automatically insert the listing information from the listing that appears in the Template Designer window or from the listing you selected in the Flyer Wizard | Step 1 window. In the Drag & Drop Data Items window, you can select the Properties tab, Agent tab, or Script tab to view the available fields. The left column lists the field name and the right column lists the field value of the current listing, if available. You can use the scroll bars to scroll through the fields. If you check the Include Description check box, PC Access Flyer will place the field name on the flyer template along with the field value. With Include Description enabled, the Template Designer displays the listing data in the following format: "FieldName: FieldValue." For example, if you placed the Basement Type field on a flyer template, it would appear as Basement Type: Full. If you do not check the Include Description check box, the Template Designer will only display the field value. In this example, only the word Full would appear in your flyer template. By default, PC Access Flyer places a check mark in this box. If any of the field labels on this window appear in green, this means: · the database description files you downloaded from your MLS contain this field. · one or more of the listings you downloaded from your MLS does not contain any information in this field. For example, if the field label Area Description appears in green, your MLS uses this field in its listings. However, the listings you downloaded did not include any data in the Area Description field. Note: you cannot edit the listing or agent information in the Template Designer window. If you want to make persistent changes to your listing information, you can use the Listings Editor. If you want to make persistent changes to your agent information, you can use the Agent Setup tab. You can make temporary changes to your listing or agent information in the Flyer Wizard | Step 3 window, Flyer Wizard | Step 4 window, or in the History List | Step 2 window.
