PC Access Flyer Reference Guide

for PC Access Flyer 2.00.025

Edit Plain Text Window

The Edit Plain Text window appears when you right-click on a plain text box in the:

· Flyer Preview pane on the Flyer Wizard | Step 4 window.

· Flyer Preview pane on the History List | Step 2 window.

The Edit Plain Text window works much like other text editors you have probably used, such as Windows Notepad. You can right-click in the Edit Plain Text window to display a popup menu with the usual editing commands (Undo, Cut, Copy, Paste, Delete, and Select All).

When the Edit Plain Text window first opens, it contains the text from the plain text box you right-clicked on. As you edit text in the Edit Plain Text window, after a few seconds PC Access Flyer updates the plain text box to reflect your edits. The formatting may differ, so for best results you should position the Edit Plain Text window so you can see the plain text box at the same time.

How your text will format depends on hard and soft line breaks:

· You can insert a hard line break by pressing the Enter key. This causes the current line to end at the cursor position, and a new line to start. The hard line break appears in both the Edit Plain Text window and in the plain text box.

· A soft line break occurs automatically whenever the text on a particular line extends past the applicable right margin. Because of font differences between the Edit Plain Text window and the plain text box, soft line breaks may not occur in exactly the same places. Therefore if you require line breaks in specific places, you should insert hard line breaks by pressing the Enter key rather than rely on soft line breaks.

The Edit Plain Text window has a ruler bar where you can set right and left margins. When the Edit Plain Text window first opens, the right margin setting is equal to the value of the Width field on the Flyer Wizard | Step 4 window or the History List | Step 2 window. However, if you change the margin settings in the Edit Plain Text window, the width of the plain text box does not change. In other words, the Edit Plain Text window does not let you change the size of the plain text box.

If you type more text than can fit in the current size of the plain text box, you can adjust the Width and/or Height fields on the Flyer Wizard | Step 4 window or the History List | Step 2 window. However, you have to close the Edit Plain Text window before you can adjust the size of the plain text box.

Any changes you make in the Edit Plain Text window are temporary. This means the changes will only appear in the flyer(s) you create in this Flyer Wizard or History List session. When you close the Flyer Wizard | Step 4 window or the History List | Step 2 window, PC Access Flyer will discard your changes. If you want to make persistent changes to your flyer, use the Edit Template Plain Text window or the Edit Template Rich Text window from the Template Designer window.

You can use the Edit Plain Text window to:

· edit existing listing or agent information.

· add new listing or agent information.

You can resize the Edit Plain Text window.
