PC Access Flyer Reference Guide

for PC Access Flyer 2.00.025

Edit Rich Text Window: View Menu

The items on the View menu let you view nonprinting characters, such as spaces between words and paragraph marks. You can also use word wrap to view the text in the rich text box you selected in the Flyer Preview pane on the Flyer Wizard | Step 4 window or the History List | Step 2 window.

The View menu on the Edit Rich Text window contains the following items:

· Word Wrap: this affects the way soft line breaks appear in the Edit Rich Text window. It does not affect the appearance of text in your flyer in any way. Word Wrap is merely a convenience to help you fit more of the text you are editing into the Edit Rich Text window.

When you click View | Word Wrap to toggle word wrap on, PC Access Flyer will align each line of text in the Edit Rich Text window with your current right-margin setting. If a line of text is too long to fit, PC Access Flyer inserts a soft line break at the word division closest to the right margin but not past it.

You can click View | Word Wrap again to toggle word wrap off.

Soft line breaks in the Edit Rich Text window may not necessarily match the soft line breaks in the corresponding rich text box. If you need to break a line between two words, position the cursor between them and press the Enter key to insert a hard line break.

You can change the right margin in the Edit Rich Text window by dragging the right-margin marker on the ruler bar above the text. However, changing the right margin in the Edit Rich Text window has no effect on the size of the rich text box whose text you are editing.

· Show Nonprinting Characters: you can click View | Show Nonprinting Characters to toggle nonprinting characters on. With Show Nonprinting Characters on, PC Access Flyer will display every space, tab, and paragraph mark in the Edit Rich Text window.

Show Nonprinting Characters does not affect the appearance of text in your flyer in any way. Show Nonprinting Characters is merely a convenience to help you position the text you are editing into the Edit Rich Text window.

You can click View | Show Nonprinting Characters again to toggle Show Nonprinting Characters off.

The Show Nonprinting Characters setting is persistent. That is, when you turn Show Nonprinting Characters on or off, PC Access Flyer will retain this setting in the following windows:

¨ Edit Plain Text window

¨ Edit Rich Text window

¨ Edit Template Plain Text window

¨ Edit Template Rich Text window
