for PC Access Flyer 2.00.025
Message Types
PC Access Flyer displays the following types of messages: information, confirmation, warning, and error. These messages have the following properties:
- Information: an information message informs the user about something that is not a problem and presents no choice. Usually an information message window will have only these buttons: OK and Help. Usually you can click the OK button and continue.
- Confirmation: a confirmation message gives the user a choice, but either choice is usually safe, or at least does not by itself create an immediate danger. A confirmation message window has Yes, No, and Help buttons, or buttons with other words representing the choice.
- Warning: a warning message describes a condition in which something is wrong and all of the following are true:
¨ The user should know about it; and:
¨ The user does not necessarily have to correct the problem immediately (although user neglect might cause a problem later); and:
¨ The program can complete the user's current command or the current operation; and:
¨ The program can continue running.
- Error: an error message describes a condition in which something is wrong and any of the following are true:
¨ The user must correct something; or:
¨ The program cannot complete the user's current command or the current operation; or:
¨ The program cannot continue running; or:
¨ Something is fundamentally wrong with the computer (for example, a file system error).
