Properties of Fancy Text Window

The Properties of Fancy Text window appears when you do any of the following:

· create a box in your template using the Fancy Text Object tool on the vertical toolbar in the Template Designer window.

· create a box in your template using the Fancy Text menu item from the Tools menu on the Template Designer window.

· insert an image field from the Drag & Drop Data Items window to a fancy text box in the Template Designer window

· right-click a fancy text box in the Template Designer window.

You may set the following options in the Properties of Fancy Text window:

· Left: this field displays the value in inches for the placement of the left border of the fancy text box from the left border of the template. For example, if the Left field contains 0.429, this means the fancy text box begins 0.429 inches from the left border of the template. You may change the placement of the fancy text box by manually entering a new value in this field. You may find it is easier to return to the Template Designer window and click and drag the fancy text box border to the desired location.

· Width: this field displays the value in inches for overall width of the fancy text box. For example, if the Width field contains 3.498, this means the fancy text box is 3.498 inches wide. You may change the width of the fancy text box by manually entering a new value in this field. You may find it is easier to return to the Template Designer window and click and drag the fancy text box border to the desired size.

· Top: this field displays the value in inches for the placement of the top border of the fancy text box from the top border of the template. For example, if the Top field contains 1.024, this means the fancy text box begins 1.024 inches from the top border of the template. You may change the placement of the fancy text box by manually entering a new value in this field. You may find it is easier to return to the Template Designer window and click and drag the fancy text box border to the desired location.

· Height: this field displays the value in inches for overall height of the fancy text box. For example, if the Height field contains 2.688, this means the fancy text box is 2.688 inches high. You may change the height of the fancy text box by manually entering a new value in this field. You may find it is easier to return to the Template Designer window and click and drag the fancy text box border to the desired size.

· Font & Color: this field displays the font type and size. You can click the ellipsis button (…) to display the Font window. For more information, see: the Font window.

· Background Fill: This drop-down list displays the background fill color. The default value is white. You can click the down-arrow and scroll through the selections to choose a new background color.

· Frame Style: you can click the Select a Frame Style... button to display the Border Properties window. For more information, see Border Properties window.

· Fancy Style: you can click the Set Fancy Text Styles... button to display the Fancy Text Editor window.

· Text: you can click the ellipsis button (…) to display the Edit Template Plain Text window. On this window you can edit the existing text, and insert, remove, and/or change fields.
