PC Access Flyer Reference Guide

for PC Access Flyer 2.00.025

Template Designer Overview

You can use the Template Designer if you would like to:

· make persistent changes to an existing template

· create a new flyer template

There are two steps involved in creating a new template or modifying an existing template. The Template Designer guides you through these two steps:

  1. Selecting an existing or new template

  2. Editing a template

The buttons, toolbars, and drop-down lists in the Template Designer are similar to what you will find in any desktop publishing program. The Template Designer is fairly complex and may be more suitable for advanced users.

As you go through the process of creating and/or modifying a template, you may add or remove text and images. Each time you add or remove text or an image, the Template Designer automatically updates your template.

The Template Designer uses your downloaded listings in the flyers you create. This allows you to see actual listing information in the flyers you create.

You can use the VCR-style buttons on the horizontal toolbar, or the menu items on the Record menu, to navigate through your downloaded listings. Each time you select a listing, PC Access Flyer automatically updates the text and images fields in your template with the listing information you selected.

Note: you do not need to use the Template Designer to create flyers for your listings. PC Access Flyer comes with many templates that you can access from the Flyer Wizard | Step 2 window.

PC Access Flyer comes with two different types of templates: System Templates and User Templates. Before you begin creating or modifying a template, you need to understand the differences between these two types of templates. For more information see: System Templates vs. User Templates.
