PC Access Flyer Reference Guidefor PC Access Flyer 2.00.025Utilities Tab: Reset Database Window
The Reset Database window appears when you click the Reset Database... button in the Database Reset group on the Setup | Utilities tab. You can use the check boxes on the Reset Database window: · to correct any problems you may have with the listing information in your downloaded listings. · to correct any problems you may have when PC Access Flyer tries to import your downloaded listings. · update the listing fields and tabbed windows. Note: If you only want to remove listings from PC Access Flyer, use the Delete Listings window. PC Access Flyer has three levels of reset options. · Level 1: you should use the Level 1 reset if the fields in your downloaded listings no longer match the fields on your MLS system. If your MLS updated any fields on your MLS system, a Level 1 reset will download new database description files from your MLS. A Level 1 reset will not remove your downloaded listings. If you use PC Access Flyer to download listings from several different MLS systems, you may want to perform a Level 1 reset each time you download listings from a different MLS system. · Level 2: a Level 2 reset will remove all of your downloaded listings and some of the database description files that PC Access initially downloaded from your MLS. If PC Access is unable to import the listings you downloaded from your MLS, a Level 2 reset may fix this problem. · Level 3: a Level 3 reset will reload the initial database description files that come with PC Access Flyer and remove all of your downloaded listings. You should only use the Level 3 reset if you are having severe problems with PC Access Flyer. For example, you cannot access your downloaded listings using the Flyer Wizard, or PC Access Flyer does not display all of your listings in the Listings Editor. If one of the above reset options does not correct the problem you are having with PC Access Flyer, you may consider using all three reset options at once. To do this, check each one of the check boxes on the Reset Database window and click OK. When you use the three reset options together, this is similar to reinstalling PC Access Flyer. Depending upon what level reset you perform, PC Access Flyer will remove some or all of the database description files. After you perform any one of the above database reset options, we recommend that you download at least one listing from your MLS. When you download at least one listing from your MLS, PC Access Flyer will download any database description files that one or more of the reset options may have deleted. This will insure that PC Access Flyer will continue to recognize the listing fields from your MLS.
