Network Installation: Overview

This section lists a brief overview of the network installation process. This overview may help you understand the various steps you need to take to install the Network version of PC Access.

For a detailed description of the installation process, see: Network Installation: Full Description.

  1. Insert the PC Access for Windows CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive. From one of the workstations on your network, run the SETUP.EXE program on the CD-ROM. This will install PC Access to the server.

  2. From a workstation, go to the PC Access directory on your server. Run \PCAWIN\WORKSTA\SETUP.EXE. This will install PC Access to the workstation that you are currently using.

  3. Install the User Authorization to the server.

  4. Run PC Access and perform the registration and initial setup.

  5. From the PC Access directory on your server, run \PCAWIN\WORKSTA\SETUP.EXE on all remaining workstations.
