Network Installation Procedure

You can install PC Access to the server from any workstation. The installation program places the PC Access 4.30 program on a shared network drive. You cannot install PC Access from the server itself; you must install it from one of the workstations.

Do not attempt to install PC Access to a local (i.e., non-network drive). The installation program will not prevent you from installing PC Access to a local drive. Please be careful and install PC Access to a network drive. The network drive/directory you select must be accessible from all of the workstations you intend to install PC Access to. To simplify maintenance down the road, try to map the same drive letter to the server drive on each workstation.

You must have at least 20 MB of free space on your server's hard drive to install PC Access. If you plan to store data files from your MLS sessions you will need more disk space. All workstations that need access to PC Access must have Read, Write, Execute, Create Directory, Rename, and Delete file permissions for the PC Access directory and all of its sub-directories.
