Sample Compass Search

After you connect to your Compass MLS system, PC Access displays your MLS system's Main Menu window.

If you need assistance dialing into your MLS, see: Dialing in for the First Time.

Follow the instructions below to search for listings.

1. From the Main Menu select Searches.
   
   
2. On the Searches sub-menu select the type of search you want to run, for example, Search Active.
   
   
3. On the Search Criteria window, fill in your criteria for each field. Press Enter to move to the next field. If you need assistance on a field, press F1 for help. If the field requires a code, Compass displays a list of available codes at the top of the window. To select a code, highlight the code you want and press Enter. Press F7 to return to the Search Criteria window. To add additional search criteria, select a field from the list at the top of the window. As you narrow down your search, the number of matching listings appears to the left of the criteria.
   
   
4. After you select your criteria, press F7. Select Photo Report and press F7 again.
   
   
5. Compass will display your matches in the Photo Report format. To print the listings, press F3.
   
   
6. If you would like to e-mail a listing, click on the listing to display the Summary Listing pop-up menu. From the pop-up menu select Internet E-Mail Listing and Full Photo or Internet E-mail Listing and Summary Photo. To learn how to send a listing via e-mail, see: Send Listings via E-mail.
   
   
7. When you finish, click the Bye button on the PC Access for Windows toolbar.
