Setting up E-mail

Before you can e-mail a listing, you need to complete the Internet Setup window in PC Access. To complete the Internet Setup window, see: Set up your Internet Connection.

After you complete the Internet Setup window, follow the instructions below to set up PC Access e-mail.

  1. From the PC Access Main Menu window, click E-Mail. On the E-Mail Message window click Setup. On the E-Mail Setup window, complete the following fields: My Name, My E-mail Address, Reply to E-mail Address and My Internet Mail Server. If your ISP requires SMTP authentication on their outgoing mail server, you need to enter your username and password in the My Mail Username and My Mail Password fields.

    If you don't know the name of your outgoing mail server, contact your ISP. In addition, the instructions in the following URL may help you find the name of your outgoing mail server:

  2. When you complete the E-mail Setup window, click OK. Click Cancel on the E-Mail Message window to return to the PC Access Main Menu.

  3. You just finished setting up PC Access to e-mail listings. To test sending e-mail via PC Access, we recommend you send an e-mail message to yourself. See: E-mail a Listing for more information.
