MDMS-005 Moore Data Management Services © 1997 Compass™ Quick Reference Guide Use this guide to get up and running quickly in PC Access/Compass. For topic-related help, click on the Help button . For help related to an item on the screen, click on the Context-Sensitive Help button . 1. To start, double-click the PC Access icon. Getting Started/Dialing Your MLS 2. The Main Menu contains options for displaying or working with your listings. If you have not yet performed a search, select Call MLS to dial your Compass MLS service. 3. At the terminal screen, log in and provide any information your MLS requires. Information about PC Access terminal window options appears on the following pages. Page 4 includes information about other Main Menu options. Other Main Menu Options Scroll Back Scrolls through the screens of your last terminal session. Editor Opens the text or script editor you have selected for use with PC Access. (By default, this is the Windows Notepad.) File Manager Allows you to move, copy, print, and delete PC Access computer files. This option is similar to those found in the Windows File Manager and Windows Explorer. Amortization Opens the Amortization window where you can calculate, print, and save monthly mortgage payment schedules based on values you entered. Phone Book Selects alternative MLS services you have set up in the Advanced Setup Menu window. Tag List Displays the Tag List window, in which you may manipulate the MLS numbers you have tagged during a terminal session. Setup Menu Opens either the Setup Assistant or Advanced Setup Menu window (based on your default program selections). Use Setup Assistant options for your first MLS connection. Advanced Setup options let you modify your modem and printer settings, edit your agent and authorization information, and select program defaults. Accessories Accesses any installed add-on modules, including the Slide Show accessory and Waypoint Navigator mapping software. Help Accesses Help for the Main Menu. Click on the Help button wherever it appears in the program to bring up information and instructions about the active window. Exit Closes PC Access and returns you to the Windows Program Manager or Windows desktop.
