The Connection Method radio button group appears on the MLS Setup window.
Select the radio button corresponding to how you are connecting to the MLS.
· Use Modem: The vast majority of agents connect to the MLS via modem. Be sure you have set up your modem correctly (see Setup Assistant - Modem Setup ).
· Direct: You should only select this if one of the following conditions is true:
¨ You have wired your computer directly to the MLS host computer. You can only do this if your computer is in the same building that houses the MLS.
¨ Your office has a high-speed leased line that connects to the MLS, and your computer connects to this line through a multiplexer.
¨ You are playing back an online session you recorded earlier. This is for advanced users only.
· TCP - telnet: This connection method will be available in version 4.10 of PC Access for Windows.
· TCP - rlogin: This connection method will be available in version 4.10 of PC Access for Windows. If you select this connection method, you must specify a User Name.
· NASI: This connection method will be available in version 4.10 of PC Access for Windows. If you choose this connection method, you must also supply the Novell port name in the Host field.
