Page Headers: Saving Vertical Space

(Contents)(Previous)(Next)

Each line of page header occupies vertical space on a printed page. Some BORIS host-initiated reports require almost the entire page, and will not fit if you specify three lines of page headers. When this happens, one or two lines of the report will print on a following page. The simplest way to make more room on the page is to turn off your page headers and footer on the Change Page Headers window. If you don't want to turn off page headers entirely, try erasing one or two lines of your page headers and see if that provides enough vertical space for the report. To erase a page heading, click the mouse on its field (or press the Tab key until you highlight the field) to display the text cursor. Then press the Backspace and/or Delete key until all characters in the field have disappeared. Be sure to erase all characters, including punctuation marks.
