Add/Edit Printer window: Choose Fonts

(Contents)(Previous)(Next)

Click the Normal, Compressed, Headers, or Footer button to choose your corresponding fonts. Clicking one of these buttons opens a standard Windows font dialog, where you can see and select from your available fonts.

· Due to the way host systems format reports, you may only choose non-proportional (fixed-space) fonts for Normal and Compressed. Unfortunately, non-proportional fonts aren't as attractive as proportional fonts, but only non-proportional fonts can maintain the column alignment necessary to print host reports correctly.

· If a font has the printer icon next to the name, it will print much faster on a dot-matrix printer.

If you check the Fast text with printer fonts box, PC Access will attempt to map the font you select to the nearest printer font. You may need to un-check this box if you find that PC Access prints an incorrect font. Checking the Fast text with printer fonts box reduces the number of fonts available to PC Access. This may prevent PC Access from selecting the best font for a given report.
