Session Playback

For best results on playback, you should open the Terminal window without actually dialing into a host. The best way to do this is to create a special Phone Book entry for playing back your comdebug files. You (or your System Administrator) should do this:

1. Open the Advanced Setup Menu window.

2. Open the Phone Book Setup window and highlight the phone book entry you dialed to log on to the host from which you recorded your comdebug file(s).

3. Click the Copy button to open the Add Phone Book Entry window. Because you clicked the Copy button, PC Access automatically copies all the setup items from your highlighted phone book entry to the new entry you are creating.

4. In the Service Name field, type something like "MLS Playback Terminal."

5. Be sure you have selected the same Emulation you used when you recorded the comdebug file.

6. Click the More>> button.

7. Click the Direct button on the Connection radio button group.

8. Click the OK button. You should be able to ignore the remaining settings, since you won't actually be dialing out with this Phone Book entry.

9. Close the Phone Book Setup window.

10. Close the Advanced Setup Menu window.

When you select your "Playback Terminal" entry from the Phone Book, the Terminal window opens immediately without PC Access dialing the modem. You may then pull down the Terminal window's Support menu and select Play Comdebug... PC Access displays the Play Comdebug window where you may type or select a comdebug file to play back. The Play Comdebug window is a File Selector window. It shows all the comdebug files you have previously recorded. Since you can only play back an existing comdebug file, you should select one of the entries in the file list.
