The Phone Book Select window appears when you click the Phone Book button on the Main Menu window. Use the Phone Book Select window to call additional remote services you have entered in the Phone Book Setup window. (If you are using the Office/Broker version of PC Access, only your System Administrator can add entries to the Phone Book.)
The Phone Book Select window has a Phone Book Entries list. It contains all the remote services you or your System Administrator have entered in the Phone Book Setup window. Position the highlight bar on the remote service you want to call, and click the Dial button.
You may also tell PC Access to dial the highlighted entry at a future time by clicking the Later button. (Note: this delayed dialing feature is for advanced users only.) For this to work, you must first specify these setup items for the highlighted phone book entry:
· Login Script File on the General tab of the Add/Edit Phone Book Entry window. You must have recorded this Login Script File with the Script | Record for Auto-Logon menu item on the Terminal window enabled.
· Delayed Dial Time (HH:MM) on the Options tab of the Add/Edit Phone Book Entry window.
Once you have set up your phone book entry for delayed dialing, you may return to the Phone Book Select window and click the Later button. Doing so causes the Phone Book Select window to display a countdown timer until your Delayed Dial Time arrives, or you click Cancel. For the delayed dial to work correctly, you must leave your computer running (you may turn off your monitor, though), and nobody else must Cancel the Phone Book Select window in the meantime.
If you want to exit the Phone Book Select window without dialing a remote service, click the Close button.
