Line Settings

All telecommunication software packages need you to tell them about several parameters the remote system expects. You don't have to understand what these mean; you only need to make sure you know what the remote system wants them to be. If you can't find out what they should be when you call up a remote system for the first time, you may have to experiment until you find the combination that works. These line settings are: data bits, parity, stop bits, and duplex.
