Uploading Your Setup-Dump File with PC Access

1. Click the Setup Menu button on the PC Access Main Menu window.

2. Click the Dump button on the Advanced Setup Menu window.

3. On the Save As file selector, click the OK button to save your dump file. Remember the file name you are saving; we recommend you accept the default name PCAWSET.TXT.

4. Follow the instructions in How to Log in to the MFM Support BBS.

5. You should be on the MFM Support BBS at the Files Menu. Press the U key followed by Enter.

6. The BBS prompts you for the file area where you want to upload your file. Type 7 followed by Enter.

7. The BBS prompts you to select a protocol. Type Z for Zmodem followed by Enter.

8. The BBS prompts you for the first file to upload. Type the name of your setup-dump file you saved in step (3) followed by Enter.

9. The BBS asks if you want to password-protect the file. Type N for "No" followed by Enter.

10. The BBS asks you for a description and keywords. For the description, you can type:

PC Access Setup-dump file from (your name)

Press Enter to finish entering your file description.

11. When the BBS prompts you for a second file name to upload, press Enter key to indicate you are done entering files. The BBS tells you to begin uploading. Click the Upload button at the top of your Terminal window. Select your setup-dump file from the upload file selector window, and click the OK button. A status indicator shows you the progress of your upload. Since the file is not large, the upload should be quick, especially if you have a fast modem.

12. When you finish uploading your setup-dump file, log off the BBS by pressing the Enter key to return to the Files Menu. Then press the G key and Enter to say goodbye.
