PC Access and the Slide Show Accessory need to load a special font file: MFM.FON. The PC Access SETUP.EXE program puts a copy of this file in your PC Access executable directory. However, under some circumstances this file may either become corrupted, or PC Access may be unable to load fonts from it. Follow this procedure for analyzing the problem:
1. Exit PC Access.
2. Run SCANDISK with a full surface scan. MFM has seen instances where the MFM.FON file became corrupted and SCANDISK could detect this problem with a full surface scan.
3. Check your PC Access executable directory to make sure MFM.FON exists. You can do this at your DOS prompt by typing the command: DIR \MFM.FON /S
4. You can download a new copy of MFM.FON from MFM's ftp server on the Internet. The URL is: ftp://ftp.mfm.com/PCAWin/mfm.fon
5. You may have too many fonts loaded in Windows already. Windows can load a maximum of between 500 and 1000 fonts. You may have another application that has loaded a large number of fonts. Check your number of fonts in the Windows Control Panel; if necessary, remove some of them.
If none of the above steps help, follow the instructions for an Internal Error.
