After you tell PC Access where you are dialing from, the Calling Service window appears. This window shows you the status of your call as PC Access attempts to connect to the remote service via your modem.
The Calling Service window tells you when it tries to reset the modem, initialize the modem, and dial the phone. In each step, PC Access sends codes to your modem that you specify in the Modem Setup window.
If PC Access detects a failure at any step, it displays an error message to tell you the problem. Additional help is available for most of these error messages; simply click the Help button on the error message window.
PC Access will automatically redial your modem up to the limit you set in the Maximum Redial Attempts field on the Modem Setup window. Automatic redial only works with modems that have the necessary hardware to detect "busy" signals on the telephone line. You may also need to initialize your modem with the codes to enable it to report busy signals to PC Access.
If PC Access completes your call successfully, it displays the Terminal window.
