Scroll Back Find

(Contents)(Previous)(Next)

The Scroll Back Find window appears when you click the Find button on the Scroll Back window. This lets you type in a word or phrase to search for in the entire contents of the Scroll Back window.

Enter the text you want to find. Check the Match Case box if you want PC Access to search only for text matching the case (capitalization) as you typed it. If you do not check this box, PC Access will search for the text you typed regardless of the case you typed (for example, CAT will match Cat, cat, cAT, etc.).

PC Access will find your text even if it is part of a longer word. For example, cat will match catalog and scatter.

Search range: when you type in text to find and click the Next button, PC Access begins searching forward from the first line of text you are currently viewing in the Scroll Back window. If PC Access finds an instance of the text you are searching for, you may click the Next button again to find another instance.

If you close the Scroll Back Find window, scroll text in the Scroll Back window, and click the Find button, that last text you entered is your default search text. If you click the Next button, PC Access begins searching forward from the last instance of your search text that PC Access found, if it still visible. If you have scrolled that instance off the Scroll Back window, PC Access begins searching forward from the first line of text you are currently viewing.

You may also search backwards with the Prev button.
