Error 254: Your computer is reporting that your version of DOS is earlier than DOS 2.0. Cannot reset unless DOS is version 2.0 or later.
Windows is telling the UAM that you are running Windows under DOS version 2.0 or earlier. Since this is probably not the real problem, you may have a computer setup error. Try opening an MS-DOS prompt window and typing the VER command to see what DOS version your computer reports. If you cannot correct the problem, follow the instructions for an Internal Error.
