PC Access for Windows Reference Guide

for PC Access for Windows 4.30.158

Could not create a unique directory

PC Access reports this error when it is unable to create a directory for one of your agents. This is ordinarily a highly improbable error message. PC Access first tries to create an agent Home Directory by appending the digits 00 to the Agent ID. If an existing file or directory in your PC Access executable directory already has that name, PC Access tries again with the digits 01, and so on up to 99.

In the unlikely event that you already have one hundred files or directories of exactly the right format to prevent PC Access from creating a unique directory, you will have to delete one of those files or directories, or change the Agent ID and try again.

If you continue to get this error message, follow the instructions for an Internal Error.
