MAIL.OUT

MAIL.OUT is a file in the current agent's Home Directory that stores one or e-mail messages. MAIL.OUT stores one or more e-mail messages from the time you click the Send button on the E-Mail Message window until PCAPLUS.EXE sends the message(s). For PCAPLUS.EXE to send an e-mail message, your computer must be connected to the Internet. Depending on how you connect to the Internet and to your MLS, you may not be able to connect to both at the same time.

If you selected Use Dial-Up Networking to Access the Internet on the Internet Setup window, and you selected Modem as your Connection Method on the MLS Setup (General Tab) window, you cannot connect to your MLS and the Internet at the same time. In this case, each time you e-mail a property listing from the Terminal window, clicking the Send button on the E-Mail Message window appends your message to MAIL.OUT. After the Terminal window closes, PC Access restores your dial-up connection to the Internet, and PCAPLUS.EXE sends any messages you have accumulated in MAIL.OUT.

If you selected TCP-telnet or TCP-rlogin as your Connection Method on the MLS Setup window (General Tab), you connect to your MLS via the Internet. In this case, PCAPLUS.EXE is able to send messages immediately after you you click the Send button on the E-Mail Message window even while the Terminal window is open and you have connected to your MLS.
